Homeless Education Assistance Act of 2001
The McKinney-Vento Act is designed to address the problems that homeless children and youth have faced while enrolling, attending, and succeeding in school. Under this program, schools must ensure that each homeless child has equal access to the same free, appropriate public education, including a public preschool education as other children. The homeless liaison may be contacted through the school office. For more information contact Lisa Reed, Homeless Liaison, 618-683-4011.
